Since bursting onto the Broadway scene, Matthew Morrison has been stealing the spotlight on stage and on screen. Best known as the lovable Spanish teacher turned glee club director on Fox’s award-winning Glee, Morrison earned both a Golden Globe and Emmy nomination for his role as ‘Will Schuester.’
After studying musical theatre, vocal performance and dance at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York, Morrison made his Broadway debut in Footloose before joining the cast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. However his big break was playing heartthrob ‘Link Larkin’ in the original cast of Hairspray. The role led him to his next part, in the highly praised musical The Light in the Piazza. Playing ‘Fabrizio Naccarelli,’ Morrison earned his first Tony Award-nomination for best performance by a featured actor in a musical. Morrison also received praise for his roles in 10 Million Miles and South Pacific.
Recently Morrison has channeled his musical talent into a solo album, releasing his self-title album in 2010. Since signing with Adam Levine’s label 222 Records, Morrison released his second album, Where it All Began in 2013.
Morrison has held a number of guest starring roles on As the World Turns, CSI: Miami, Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs. On the big screen Morrison has appeared in the films Music & Lyrics, Dan in Real Life, The Muppets and What to Expect When You’re Expecting.
