Jonathan was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada and has an identical twin brother, Drew Scott, and older brother, J.D. Scott. His passion for entertaining started at the young age of 7 when he began performing in small theater productions and on weekends as an apprentice clown. His acting eventually segued from the stage to screen and his clowning evolved into performing as a magician. He continued to hone his skills over the next decade or so, winning many awards and accolades as an illusionist.
In 2005, Jonathan started getting more heavily involved in producing and promoting independent film and television as well as writing/performing sketch comedy. With his two brothers, they founded Dividian Production Group, now Scott Brothers Entertainment, and began producing many of their own projects, which have now toured and gained numerous nods in festivals.
As a way to fund their production endeavors, Jonathan and Drew co-founded Scott Real Estate Inc., a real estate investment company with offices in Vancouver, Calgary and Las Vegas. Jonathan’s education in construction, design and business was instrumental in building the success of the corporation and the popularity of his real estate show, Property Brothers, which airs in over 13 countries.
In addition to Property Brothers, Jonathan and Drew co-host Buying and Selling, a show focused on helping homeowners sell their current residence and purchase a new property. Their show, Brother vs. Brother, pits Jonathan and Drew against each other as they each mentor a six-person team of home improvement experts battling for a grand prize of $50,000.
In April 2016, Jonathan and Drew released their first book, Dream Home: The Property Brothers’ Ultimate Guide to Finding & Fixing Your Perfect House.
Jonathan currently resides in Las Vegas.
