Elyse Steinberg and Josh Kriegman are the co-founders of Edgeline Films, a production company behind award-winning film and television, focusing on prestige non-fiction.
Steinberg and Kriegman are award-winning filmmakers who have created numerous documentary films for theatrical release and television broadcast. Distributors for their films include Magnolia Pictures, Sony Pictures Classics, IFC/Sundance Selects, Showtime, A&E, CNN Films, PBS, and MTV.
Their flagship film is Weiner, an Oscar-shortlisted and BAFTA-nominated feature documentary that follows Anthony Weiner's disastrous run for Mayor of New York City. After receiving the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, the film was released theatrically by Sundance Selects and became one of the highest-grossing documentaries of the year. Weiner aired on Showtime in October, was nominated for Best Documentary at the 2016 Gotham Awards, won the award for Best First Documentary at the 2016 Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards, and was nominated for the 2016 International Documentary Association's award for Best Feature.
