With a prolific career encompassing theater, film and television, Mike O'Malley is a man of unstoppable talent in front of and behind the camera.

O'Malley currently stars in the critically-acclaimed television series "Glee." He plays Burt Hummel,' the father of a gay son, played by Chris Colfer. O'Malley received an Emmy Award nomination for his work in the role, written specifically for him by series co-creator Ryan Murphy. Currently in its third season on Fox, the ratings-leading show has garnered multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards.

O'Malley produces, stars in and co-created the upcoming pilot PRODIGY BULLY on Fox with Emmy Award-winning writer/producer John Wells ("Shameless," "Southland," "ER," "The West Wing"), a new single-camera family comedy that follows the escapades of a child genius who must refine his sharp edges at a gifted school that offers him a scholarship. In the rambunctious spirit of "Malcolm in the Middle" comes a next-generation comedy starring a cast of up-and-coming new young talent.

O'Malley's accomplished acting career is matched by his writing talent. He is currently developing a comedic TV Movie with Conan O'Brien titled, AN AMERICAN COUPLE, which will be released in 2012. O'Malley also penned CERTAINTY, and continues to write for the Showtime drama "Shameless," starring William H. Macy, Joan Cusack and Emmy Rossum.

He recently wrapped filming Universal Pictures' live-action, comedy R.I.P.D. based on the comic by Peter Lenkov. O'Malley will star alongside Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon and Mary Louise Parker. The film is currently set to be released on June 28, 2013.

Next, O'Malley will be seen in the major motion picture SO UNDERCOVER with Miley Cyrus, Jeremy Piven and Kelly Osbourne. Directed by Tom Vaughan, the action-comedy film is slated to release in 2012. O'Malley has also recently wrapped filming the comedy film GEEZERS! alongside Tim Allen, J.K. Simmons and Basil Hoffman and is set to debut in 2012.

O'Malley has been seen in the film CEDAR RAPIDS alongside an all-star cast of Sigourney Weaver, Ed Helms and John C. Reilly. The film is a hilarious-yet-heartfelt story about a small town insurance salesman who finds that his path to self-discovery leads to the annual insurance convention. Directed by Miguel Arteta, CEDAR RAPIDS premiered to rave reviews at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

O'Malley starred alongside Julia Roberts in 2010's EAT PRAY LOVE. Writer and director Ryan Murphy wrote a role especially for O'Malley in the film which is based on the poplar book. The film also starred Javier Bardem, James Franco, Billy Crudup and Viola Davis.

Other film and television credits include, LEATHERHEADS, 28 DAYS, PUSHING TIN, THE PERFECT MAN, "My Name is Earl," "Yes, Dear" and "Life with Roger." He is also an accomplished playwright, who wrote the off-Broadway plays, Three Years From Thirty and Diverting Devotion.
