LeBron James

Since he was a sophomore in high school, LeBron has been anointed the next great NBA superstar and he has done nothing to disappoint. Drafted #1 overall in the 2003 NBA Draft by his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers, "King James" was just 18 years old when he made his NBA debut recording 25 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.

After winning the NBA Rookie of the Year, LeBron continues to collect awards culminating in his first league MVP trophy in 2009; the first of many. He has been to six All-Star games, MVP of two, led the NBA in scoring in 2008 and made the All-Defensive team in 2009.

In 2004, LeBron was named to the US Olympic Basketball team, but the team hardly lived up to the great expectations that began with the 1992 NBA Dream Team; the first to feature professional players. For the first time since 1980 when the Olympic team boycotted the games, the US team failed to win Gold. Eager to reclaim their place as the world's greatest basketball team, LeBron led the NBA's greatest players back to the Olympics in 2008. James was captain of the Gold medal winning team that was affectionately called "The Redeem Team" when they won in Beijing.

Off the court, James has been welcomed by Hollywood with open arms. After co-hosting the 2007 ESPY Awards with Jimmy Kimmel, James was selected to host the 33rd season premiere of Saturday Night Live.
