Krista Vernoff

Krista Vernoff is the Emmy Nominated, Golden Globe winning Head Writer/Executive Producer of television's hit show, Grey's Anatomy. Over the last decade, Krista has written for a broad variety of television shows including NBC's Law & Order, The WB's Charmed and Fox's short-lived cult phenomenon, Wonderfalls. In 2005, along with the writing staff of Grey's Anatomy, Krista won the prestigious Writer's Guild of America Award for Best New Television Series, and was nominated for a Dramatic Writing Emmy for her episode of Grey's Anatomy, "Into You Like a Train." As an Executive Producer, she has been nominated twice for the Best Dramatic Series Emmy for Grey's Anatomy. Her first book, "The Game On! Diet" co-written with Az Ferguson, has been published by HarperCollins and is available in stores. A professional stage actor for several years prior to beginning her career as a writer,Krista holds a BFA in Acting from Boston University's College of Fine Arts.
