Jimmie Johnson is writing his name all over the NASCAR record books. In 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and most recently in 2010 Jimmie won the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship, earning him a place in NASCAR history as the only driver ever to win five consecutive championships. This beat the previous record of four consecutive titles held by . . . himself. Johnson has reached victory lane 53 times in his young career, winning nearly a quarter of the "Chase" races since its inception in 2004. His impact isn't limited to the race track. Johnson and his wife, Chandra, promote the Jimmie Johnson Foundation through a variety of public fund-raising activities. In addition, they actively donate to organizations such as the Red Cross and Make-A-Wish Foundation. Each year, the Johnson's host the Jimmie Johnson Golf Tournament in Jimmie's hometown of San Diego. In 2007, the Tournament raised more than $500,000 for the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

The son of working class parents, Jimmie was not handed his success - he had to work for it. Without connections or money, Jimmie worked his way through the ranks of local racing up to the pinnacle of the sport, NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series. Today Jimmie, along with his wife Chandra and their daughter Genevieve Marie, make their home in Charlotte, NC. They are active in the community particularly through Jimmie's charitable organization, the Jimmie Johnson Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to assisting children, families and communities in need. Amongst the many generous programs the Jimmie Johnson Foundation is involved in is the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte. The Foundation funded the construction of the Toddler Playroom, a racing-themed room that will provide the house's youngest guests with a fun age- appropriate place to play and interact with other children.
