Al Madrigal
Comedian
The New York Times calls Madrigal's comedy "dynamic" and HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen named him "Best Stand-Up Comedian." His unique, spontaneous, and fast-paced lyrical, story-telling style has made him a regular favorite on television. He has been seen in numerous network series roles and starred in his own half-hour stand-up special, COMEDY CENTRAL PRESENTS: AL MADRIGAL.
Al Madrigal is a regular contributor on the Emmy Award-winning The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central.
Madrigal's network television credits include WELCOME TO THE CAPTAIN with Jeffrey Tambor and GARY UNMARRIED on CBS. Additionally, Al was the series lead in THE ORTEGAS for Fox and starred opposite Martin Short in THE TAX MEN. This fall, NBC has scheduled his latest project FREE AGENTS, about two co-workers who fall in love (played by Hank Azaria and Kathryn Hahn), for Wednesday nights at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.
His late-night television appearances include CONAN, THE TONIGHT SHOW, LOPEZ TONIGHT, THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON, CHELSEA LATELY and JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE. Al has also appeared on John Oliver's New York Stand-up Show, PRETEND TIME with Nick Swardson, Comics Unleashed and The 3 Non Juans on Showtime.
